Sustainable yarn has become tremendously trendy because it aims to make the world a better place. It’s about becoming the change we want to see in the world. Yarn is sustainable and eco-friendly by eliminating excess fabrics or repurposing yarn and recycling polyester. Sustainable yarn is part of the solution that will reduce our carbon footprint on our planet.

It’s worth noting that the fashion industry alone emits a lot more than just 1.2 billion tons of greenhouse gases per year. The volume of clothing humans throw away annually has doubled in the last 20 years, going from just 7 million to 14 million tons. 

There will be an estimated global population of about nine billion people by 2030, which will cause unparalleled nature struggles in meeting people’s demands. The World Resources Institute stated that it takes 2,700 liters of water to make one cotton T-shirt. In turn, fashion brands and buyers alike have realized the need for fashion restorations. There is a critical environmental crisis, which is due to textile waste. There are at least 13 million tons of textile waste in landfills per year. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, in 2018, 17 million tons of textile waste were in landfills. It’s important to note that textiles will take up to 200+ years to decompose naturally. Clothes shouldn’t become worn once and then thrown away like disposable plastic bags from convenience stores. RWS Responsible Wool Standard is a self-contained standard. The RWS certification ensures on pastures where it guarantees that the sheep have received the five-star, royal treatment and confirms the best practices in managing and protecting the land. Via transparent traceability certification in the initial processing stage, it focuses on the wool creation process of the certified pasture to perfectly identify and track with ease. Our raw material suppliers have administered RWS certification of the environmentally responsible wool standard since 2015.                

RMS needs to ensure the entire production process, starting from the mohair rancher and ending with the consumer officially certified. Generally, this is the last certification stage for either the clothing manufacturer or the brand. The yarn ranch must pass the animal welfare, land management, and social module to receive this type of certification. The following stages of the supply chain guarantee traceability via accreditation.        

Organic Wool is yet another critical certification, where sheep freely live in pastures free of any manufactured chemical or genetically modified crops. These flocks are considered free-range, disease-free, and come with official organic certifications issued by the foremost authorities.

EcoVero Fiber is a certified renewable wood source produced by ecological technology that meets major high standards of significant environmental protection, namely LENZING EcoVero Fiber, designed for an eco-friendly lifestyle and ensures a cleaner environment in the long run.         

Tencel Fiber focuses on sustainable development of wood sources, as using resources efficiently will effectively reduce their impact on the environment and where water is recycled again and again. Fiber has rare physical properties: durability, moisture-wicking, hypoallergenic, and sumptuously soft, among other qualities.                         

Naia Acetate is an independent cellulose fiber made by combining wood pulp from sustainable wood sources with acetic acid produced from various recycled wastes.      

Terryyl Bio-based fibers come from renewable sources. It has higher textile properties, such as superior super PTT resilience, which delivers a similar wood fiber feel and an ultra-soft texture. Aside from that, it features hygroscopicity and perspiration. The renewable bio-polyamide fiber utilized by Tylon is tremendously similar to animal protein fiber, which has an impressively positive impact on protecting the earth’s energy. Every kilogram of bio-phenylenediamine can save up to 15.3 kWh of electricity.

Recycled Materials is where our supplier collects wool and cashmere products such as waste garment pieces and scraps of fabrics and processes these cloths or waste garment pieces and other materials to acquire fresh and brand new regenerated wool fibers. That is regenerated Wool (Recycle Wool) and regenerated cashmere (Recycle Cashmere ) Fiber.

Recycled polyester fiber comes from recycled plastic bottles and waste polyester materials. Plastic bottles and waste polyester materials can be made into fragments processed into particles and then made into regenerated polyester fibers after processing by melting and spinning these materials.
